The study of heavy minerals of Taoer River area in Wuchagou region shows that the heavy minerals distributing in different areas are various for each other�� Main heavy minerals in Taoer River mainstream and tributaries of the Erdaoqiao are olivine��while the main heavy minerals are limonite in Chagan River��magnetites in Emusitai ditch��and epidote in Husitai Groove�� Different mineral assemblages and their distribution characteristics reflect that the heavy minerals in the area is low in maturity��which is obviously affected by near-source material�� According to the different mineral assemblages��three mineral zones and divided��including the Taoer River mainstream mineral zone��eastern-��and western mineral zones of Taoer River area�� Among these zones��metallic minerals are abnormally high in the eastern mineral zone��which provides certain scientific basis for finding useful minerals��
