113 A new pterosaur ( Pterosauria) from Middle Jurassic Tiaojishan Formation of western Liaoning,China
Lǔ Junchang and FUCHA Xiaohui

A new pterosaur Archaeoistiodactylus linglongtaensis gen. et sp. nov. is erected based on an incomplete skeleton with a partial skull and lower jaw. The new taxon is characterized by circular tooth sockets of anterior mandibular teeth, the anterior teeth of the upper jaw bearing posteriorly directed crowns,a relatively short metacarpus, and wing phalanges 2 and 3 and the tibia subequal in length. It possesses some plesiomorphic characters such as short metacarpals and circular tooth sockets. The pointed jaw tip present in the new taxon indicates that the expanded jaw tips of later istiodactylids are a derived character state, and the new taxon represents the first istiodactylus-like pterosaur found from the pre-Late Jurassic deposits, which provides a key role in our understanding the origin and evolution of the known istiodactylid pterosaurs. Archaeoistiodactylus is regarded as the ancestor form of the known istiodactylid pterosaur.

119 Division and correlation of Yixian Formation in western Liaoning,China
ZHAO Liang, XING Dehe, SUN Chunlin, SUN Yuewu, ZHANG Lidong

The Yixian Formation is a series of volcanic-sedimentary rocks in Biepiao area of Liaoning Province. It is mainly composed of basic and intermediate-basic volcanic lava, pyroclasts and terrestrial sedimentary rocks. Based on the regularity of volcanic activity, the Yixian Formation was divided by the present authors into four members in ascending order: the first member is of basal conglomerate, basic and intermediate-basic volcanic rocks; the second member is of lake phrase sedimentary rocks,or in another word, precious fossil-rich sedimentary beds; the third is of basic volcanic rocks; and the fourth is of upper conglomerate. Field mapping and comprehensive study also indicate that there are abundant vertebrate fossils ( mainly of Psittacosaurus) in the first member of the Yixian Formation, and the Jehol Biota ( including Sinosauropterxy,Confuciusorns sanctus, Archaefructus, etc. ) is yielded in the second member of Yixian Formation. From west to east, the volcanic activity of Yixian Formation changed regularly from early to late, and from basic and intermediate-basic to acid ( alkali) .

128 Geochemistry of Neoproterozoic mixosedimentite in northern Anhui and its geological significance
SUN Linhua, GUI Herong and CHEN Song

Major oxides,as well as trace elements ( including rare earth elements) compositions have been analyzed for the mixosedimentites from Neoproterozoic Jiayuan Formation in northern Anhui,China. The results show that the concentrations of elements are closely related to the relative proportions of carbonates and terrigenous detritus ( varying from 2 /3 to 1 /9 based on petrographic study) . The ratios between some immobile elements ( e. g. La,Th,Zr and Sc) are constant and then can be used as tracers for the discrimination of provenance and tectonic setting of terrigenous detritus. The results indicate that the terrigenous detritus mainly came from the felsic volcanics related to continental arc, with minor contribution from the old basement. Combined with recent research progresses, these mixosedimentites imply that the Neoproterozoic sedimentation in northern Anhui was probably taken place in a back arc basin during the convergence of Rodinia super continent between 1. 0 and 0. 8 Ga.

135 Analysis on accuracy of Engineering Star RTK in cadastral survey based on SOUTH-CORS
SONG Yuanming, LIU Lilong, HU Jiaxing and LIU Jingye

Currently, with the fast development of GPS technique,GPS RTK is rapidly being applied to the cadastral survey. GPS RTK technique not only improves efficiency and accelerates the rate of mapping, but also increases economic efficiency. The authors introduced a method for GPS RTK rapid positioning, which uses continuous operational reference system ( CORS) as a base station to change the method of previous map drawing by obtaining real-time three-dimensional coordinates of boundary points and statistically analyzing with the three-dimensional coordinates obtained by Total Station to get the accuracy of GPS RTK real-time coordinates. The application of GPS RTK in practical measurement was discussed when the data link had been lost especially. The results show that the three-dimensional coordinates measured by total station can be replaced by realtime three-dimensional coordinates measured by Engineering Star RTK in the CORS.

145 Engineering geological conditions and features of geologic hazards in Wudongde reservoir of Jinshajiang River valley
LIU Weijuan, FAN Jianhua and ZHANG Yange

There is a great difference between the distribution and evolvement characteristics of slope geological hazard in the same geographical location and climatic conditions, taking the similar structural-genetic connection in Wudongde reservoir area of Jinshajiang River valley for example. In all engineering geological conditions, the chronologic age and attitude of strata, and the lithologic association factors control the distributions and evolvement characteristics of slope geological hazard in the studied area. The study shows that the slopes in geological evolution are in different stages. The conclusion helps to understand the types and the intensity of geological disasters.

151 Application study of coupled model between reservoir organic pollutant BOD5-DO and temperature
LI Yong and LI Xin

The BOD5-DO ( Biochemical Oxygen Demand in five days and Dissolved Oxygen) are important indexes that reflect the organic pollution extent of water, but the variation of the indexes is closely related with water temperature. The study on the coupled mathematical model reflecting the BOD5-DO with temperature is the key to reveal the mechanism of the migration and distribution of BOD5-DO in the water. The authors presented 1-D mathematical model for the three variables in vertical direction, and gave accurate solution for the equations under steady state, the relation among the variables and the method for solving BOD5-DO concentrations at different depth and temperature.

155 Approach to quantification drawdown of groundwater wells: a case study from Sana'a City,Yemen
Abdulhakim G. H. Al-KHOLID, SUN Youhong

Although research on a field investigation about quantification drawdown of ground water wells has hitherto been conducted with emphasis on Sana'a basin which is 3 200 km2 in area characterized by general hazard in quantity and quality of water, there exist uncertainties about the size of the hazardous annual decline in the level of underground water. So the authors are trying to assess reliable hazard data on the depth of groundwater which were obtained by measuring static water level. The data set are twenty six wells from 9 regions which were selected to represent Sana'a basin and collected during the course of the 20 months groundwater monitoring survey from January 2008 to January 2009. The results show that the average drawdown during 20 months to be 3. 22 m with an average 0. 16 m per month and 2 m per year.

165 Air flow calculation of reverse circulation drilling technique with air DTH hammer
HUANG Yong, ZHU Lihong, YIN Kun and BO Kun

Air DTH hammer has been successfully applied in minor-caliber solid mineral exploration, waterwell drilling and other drilling areas. In order to expand the applications of the technology, the authors further studied the principle and analyzed the mechanism of reverse circulation drilling technique with air DTH hammer to get the perfect assembles of equipments by optimizing working parameters. No parameter seemed more important than the air volume because it could maintain the working performance stability. The minimum air volume is related to the parameters such as depth and pressure, which was calculated under the actual conditions. It was solved for the air injection flow tables of the air DTH Hammer working at the different pressures. According to the data tables, operators could adjust the air volume to meet the demand on this technique, which had a realistic guiding significance. So it could build up a set of systematic and complete hi-technique.
