 Seismic travel time tomography based

on fast marching method of eikonal equation

Abstract

 Seismic travel time tomography is a method to retrieve the velocity distribution inside the earth by

using the seismic events continuously received by different seismic stations and the seismic travel time fault scanning.It is mainly divided into two parts of forward ( ray tracing) and inversion. Firstly,the fast marching method based on the eikonal equation is used to calculate the travel time field of incident wave and reflected wave. Secondly,the ray tracing and travel time sensitivity matrix are calculated. Finally,the subspace inversion method is used
to realize the travel time inversion of reflection wave. The inversion imaging results can well distinguish the shape and position of abnormal bodies.
