 Land subsidence monitoring in northern plain of Henan Province using small baseline subset technique

Abstract

 In order to study the characteristics and causes of land subsidence in the northern plain of Henan

Province,the surface deformation data are obtained using the small baseline subset technique,the spatial distribution characteristics of land subsidence are summarized,and the relationship between land subsidence and geological environment factors is analyzed. The results show that from 2014 to 2016,all the study areas are subsidence areas, of which most are with low severity of land subsidence,and some are serious. The maximum subsiding rate is
114. 85 mm/a. Eight key subsidence areas were delineated. The main reason of land subsidence in the study area is the excessive exploitation of groundwater. Land subsidence is also affected by regional tectonic activities,distribution
of soft soil,urbanization development,mining resources development and other factors.
