Abstract

Hunhe fault is an important northeast-trending seismotectonic belt in Liaoning Province, of which the geophysical gravity and magnetic field of the two sides are different. Based on the research of the regional gravity and magnetic field of Hunhe fault, it is concluded that Hunhe fault controls the development of deep and shallow lithostratigraphy, and the gravity and magnetic field changes with the difference of the lithologic development. Its gravity and magnetic field are mainly located in the west of Fushun to Shenyang, the most destructive earthquake recorded in the history of Hunhe fault occurred in Shenyang section where the gravity gradient varies greatly. The Hunhe fault is generally not very active according to its geophysical field characteristics and regional geological data, but the coal mining activities in Fushun have certain impact on the fault activity. There have been frequent subsidence, landslide, ground crack and other geological disasters in Fushun area in recent years, more attention should be paid to the study on the activity of Hunhe fault.
