Abstract

Block Ⅺ of East Gobi Basin in Mongolia has experienced strong tectonic activities, sedimentary system changes rapid, which causes the study area have the characteristics of thin reservoir and fast lateral change. Therefore, it is very difficult to identify the reservoirs.Based on the latest drilling, logging and seismic data of the study area, the rock physics parameters are analyzed, and constrained sparse pulse wave method is used in seismic impedance inversion in block Ⅺ. The geological model is established in accordance with the actual situation, and to comprehensively predict the potential reservoir zones of the Lower Zongbayin Formation in block Ⅺ. The results show that the favorable zones of sand bodies are developed in the northern part of Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ sand groups of the lower member and the northern part of the middle member of Lower Zongbayin Formation.
