Abstract

The authors introduce the indirect adjustment method into the adjustment of gravity base network. The gravity adjustment value of each base point in the base adjustment network is set as a function related to its approximation. Moreover, the least square criterion is used to constrain the parametric function to establish the error equation and calculate the adjustment value. The calculation results show that the adjustment results of traditional adjustment method and indirect adjustment method are identical but the calculation of indirect adjustment is more regular and is easy to program and calculate, which is suitable for the complicated gravity network consisting of multiple base points and multiple segments.
