Abstract

By engineering geological mapping, drilling, aditing, laboratory testing of soil and rocks and other surveying work, the accounted volume of Qingshiliang landslide site is about 810 000 m 3 ,regarded as a medium- sized rocky bedding landslide. The whole landslide has been in stable condition recently. However, after the oper- ation of the reservoir or around construction of the dam, the landslide site would be in a substantially less stable- un- stable status from a variety of conditions including intense and long- time rainfall yielding saturated slip mass. Therefore, the landslide engineering management is demanded. By comparison and combined with the second phase cofferdam construction,it is proposed to cut and lighten the central and trailing edge of the sliding body (used as cofferdam filling material),so as to make the landslide stability meeting safety standards.
