Formation age of granites in Tianfozhishan of Yanbian and its petrogenesis

Abstract

The chronological and geochemical studies of granites in Tianfozhishan of Yanbian show the zircon U - - Pb dating of granites as (188. 5 ±2. 2) Ma,in the Early Jurassic. The granites are characterized by high sili- con and alkali,low aluminium,calcium and magnesium,belonging to high- K calc- alkaline series I type granites. Rocks are riched in LREE and LILE (e. g. Rb,Th,U and K),relatively deficited in HFSE (e. g. Zr,Hf,Y and Yb) and significantly deficited in Ba,Nb,Ta,P and Ti,with weak Eu anomaly. The granite magma derived from partial melting crustal material,and may be formed in an active continental margin associated with subduction of Paleo- Pacific Plate.
