Abstract

To determine the metallogenic characteristics and ore- prospecting potential of Naganchu area in Ewenke Banner of Inner Mongoliathe geological features and genetic types have been studiedand geophysical and geochemical survey were carried on The results indicate that since the Phanerozoicthis area experienced multi- stage tectonic- magmatismwhich led to favorable ore- forming geological conditions for endogenous polymetallic mineralizationsuch as volcanic- clastic strata of Daminshan Formationfaults and fractures in NE trendingas well as mediate- acid intrusions during the Yanshanian Polymetallic ore bodies discovered in this area mainly occur in the volcanic- clastic Damin Formation and obviously controlled by the NE trending faults The ore has similar mineral assemblagesore textures and ore structures as ones in mesoepithermal magmatic polymetallic ore Inte- grated information indicates that the Naganchu area has favorable Ag-Cu polymetallic mineralization prospect Based on soil geochemical survey in scale of 1 100 00induced polarization intermediate gradient survey and ore- finding criterions concluded in this paperthere are 8 geochemical anomalies determinedin which 4 anomalies can be listed as the most favorable in exploration target areas
