Abstract

Taking an organic- contaminated site as example, the authors compares RBCA and CLEA models on their assessment theories and methods. Furthermore, the degree of conformity between the evaluation results and the actual situation of the pollution has been analyzed through the toxicology methods. The results indicate that two models are different in assessment method and application scope. RBCA model is superior on comprehensive assess- ment of the migration and transform of pollutants in water, soil and gas, while CLEA model is capable for the as- sessment of contaminated sites where the main exposure pathway comes from ingestion of contaminated vegetation etc.
