Copper mine prognosis of comprehensive information in southern Lusiweisi of copper belt province,Zambia

Abstract

The metallogenic prognosis has been carried out in southern Lusiweisi of copper belt province, Zambia with the methods of remote sensing and exploration geophysics. Taking SPOT and ETM + as the main remote- sensing data source,the authors built the interpretation marks of reservoir section,igneous rocks and fault structure in central province,copper belt province and northwestern province of Zambia,and completed the remote sensing geological interpretation and the remote sensing alteration extraction. Based on the geological condition of typical deposits and RS interpretation mark,the authors built the remote sensing mineralization prognosis model and selected eight potential areas in the studied area.
