Velocity- independent NMO correction using plane- wave destruction filters and velocity analysis method

Abstract

In order to avoid the poor correction effect and stretching distortion problem in normal NMO correc- tion caused by the complicated and time- consuming or picking up the inaccuracy parameters conditions in velocity analysis,velocity- independent NMO correction method was introduced for processing. The authors got local event slope through the data destruction,analyzed the relationship between the slope data and velocity,and required the time parameter by local slope data,the information were sufficient for NMO correction. The velocity- independent NMO correction was superior to the normal NMO correction through synthesis data and field data.
