Abstract

The major rock types of Luotuoshan mafic-ultramafic intrusions are clinopyroxene troctoliteolive gabbro noritetroctolitegabbro-norite and gabbro The value of olivine Fo is 76 83indicating the peridot in li- thology The chemical characteristics of pyroxene and major elements indicate that the intrutions belong to the tho- leiitic series The distribution curve of EE shows enrichment of LEE and slight variation of HEE Trace ele- ments are enriched in LILE (e. g. bBa and Sr) and loss of HFSE (e. g. TaHf and Th) The fractional crys- tallization in magmatic evolution is mainly controlled by clinopyroxene The values of Nb/U and Ce/Pb are close to the Earth's crust and sensitive element ratio covariance relationship It indicates that assimilation took place during magmatic evolution The plots of Th/Yb versus Nb/Yb and La/Ba versus La/Nb imply that magmatic source may be the enriched lithosphere mantle modified by subduction fluid
