Abstract

The Gaosongshan gold deposit is an epithermal deposit related to volcanic action There are 3 types in the ore type including auriferous quartz veinstructural breccia and altering-rocks The gold bodieswith no magnetic field and high resistivityare distinguished with the wall rocks by physical feature In the gold oresuch elements are closely correlative as AuAgAsSb and Cu The abundance of Au in the volcanic rocks is high Both absolute and relative departure degrees are large The Au abnormalities are of large-scalehigh-intensity and obvious zoningwhich can provide important base for the geophysical and geochemical explorations The S isotope in the ore is characterized by the deep-derived magma sulfur Both H and O isotopes show that there happened the mixing of the meteoric water during the ore-forming process The ore body is located in the Upper Cretaceous volcanic rocks whose petrologic geochemistry indicates they formed under the tectonic settings of the active continental margin According to the data on geologygeophysicsgeochemistry and remote sensingin the west of deposit area both the depth of ore body No. 1 and the east of the Wuyun Basin of Heilongjiang are estimated as metallogenic predication areas
