Abstract

Conventional velocity analysis results of converted wave are inaccurate when amplitude change with offset existing in converted wave seismic recordespecially polarity reversed Thereforbased on the consideration of AB similar coefficient velocity analysis of PP wave to resolve the AVO effectionthe authors extend converted wave data with AVO phenomenon by AB similar coefficient methodand derive AB similar coefficient method to settle the converted wave with AVO phenomenonwhich provide theoretical support to improve the accuracy in converted wave velocity analysis
