Sedimentary source analysis of Jurassic Toutunhe Formation in Beisantai area in Junggar Basin

Abstract��

For definition of the source system of Jurassic Toutunhe Formation in Beisantai area of Junggar Basin�� the authors calculate the erosion thickness of the Formation��restore the palaeogeomorphology during this Formation�� and judge the source direction in the studied area��using sandstone content and heavy mineral combination analysis methods�� The deposits of the Toutunhe Formation have two source systems in Beisantai area��including Shaqi uplift in the north and Bogurda mountain in the south�� The Beisantai uplift was underwater low uplift during the Toutunhe Formation��and did not provide source��
