Abstract

The paper analyzed the potential formation reasons of hydraulic fractures based on the formation mechanism and conditions of fractures Taken an abnormal high pressure reservoir as examplethe formation condition of hydraulic fractures are confirmed through theoretical research and analysis to tectonic evolution history The core photos showed there are existed fractures in this oil field which could be classified into three types: re-open fractureextend fracture and new fracture All those fractures could greatly improve the seepage ability of reservoir and form high-yield reservoir

Keywords abnormal high pressure   carbonate   hydraulic fracture   fracture formation mode
