Abstract

The Gaosongshan gold deposit is a newly discovered low sulfur type epithermal deposit in northeastern Heilongjianglocated in the overlapping part of the Tianshan--Mongolia--Xing'an orogenic belt and the circum-- Pacific tectonic belt Combined with the comprehensive analysis of regional geological backgroundgeological characteristics of deposits and petrological geochemical datathe authors considered the Gaosongshan gold deposit produced in the middle and basic volcanic rocks of island-arc or active continental margin environment The metallogenic model is the water-rock reaction between middle and basic calc-alkaline volcanic rocks and magmatic hydrothermal formed in late continental collision or after collisionduring the process of extrusion translates into extension between the Pacific and Eurasian plates in Middle and Late Cretaceousand finally enriched and formed deposits at the intersect parts of volcanic mechanism and regional faults
