Joint probability tomo graphy for gravity and its gradiometry data based on strata-source potential field

Abstract

Inordertoimproveverticalresolutionofjointimagingforgravityandgravitygradiometrydata,the authorsproposeajointprobabilitytomographymethodbasedonstratasourcepotentialfield.Toreflectthespatial distributioncharacteristicsofgeologicalbodiesinstrataofdifferentdepths,themeanfilteringmethodandthecuttingseparationmethodareusedtoseparatepotentialfieldanomalies,andthestratasourcegravityandgravitygradiometrydataofdifferentdepthsareobtainedbythedownwardcontinuationmethod,onwhichtheprobabilitytomographyofstratasourcegravityanditsgradiometrydataisachieved.Applyingthemethodtoacombinedmodelof multiplecubes,itenablesfastimagingonfielddatainstrataofdifferentdepthswithhigherverticalresolutionthan conventionalprobabilitytomographymethods.ThemethodisalsoappliedtothemeasureddataoftheHumblesalt dome.Theimagingresultshowsthemethodcaneffectivelycarryoutthethreedimensionalportrayalofthespatial distributioncharacteristicsofthesaltdome.
