Abstract

Undertheconditionofoverburdenpressures,theporosityandpermeabilitymeasuredbyautomated permeameterandporosimeter(AP608)aretriaxialporosityundereffectiveoverburdenpressures.However,the calculationofreservesrequiresthecalculationofoilandgascontentsintheporesofoilandgasreservoirs,sothe uniaxialporosityunderformationconditionsshouldbeused.Basedonthemeasurementofporosityofrepresentative samplesofandesite,brecciatuffandtuffintheChanglingfaultdepressionundermultipleconfiningpressures,the authorspresentacorrectionmethodforconvertingtriaxialporosityintouniaxialporosity,andtheconvertedporosity canbeusedforreservecalculationdirectly.
