Abstract: Acid brunisolic soil, with Suizhong granite as its parent materials, is a special type of agricultural soil in Xingcheng area, Liaoning Province, China. Study on migration rules of mineral elements between Suizhong granites and the soil show that similarities in the mineral assemblages, mineral morphology and soil chemistry exist among bedrock, soil-forming parent material, subsoil layer, core soil layer and faming soil layer. The material of acidic brunisolic soil is derived from the residual of bedrock or short-distance transportation and accumulation. Each soil layer contains significant high values of Si, Fe, K, Mn, and is enriched in rare earth elements. This indicates that the decomposition of minerals in acidic brunisolic soil is at the stage of calcium deposition and acidic silica-aluminum. As for the chemical weathering process, the initial stage of de-Ca and de-Na had already completed, and the intermediate stage of de-K has entered. The migrations of mineral elements are characterized by high physical weathering of parent rocks and high inheritance of essential elements in brunisolic soil.
