Status of calculation and visualization research on well trajectory

Abstract:

The existing calculation methods of wellbore trajectory were compared and analyzed��and the au- thors found the cylinder helix method and minimum curvature method in high accuracy and have better applicability�� Through summarizing the status in development of well trajectory visualization algorithm and visualization soft- ware��it is concluded that visualization research tends to be in general applicability��functional diversity��and more intelligent direction of development�� At the same time��the research on the method of identifying the reservoir inter- face by using the directional gamma log curve is studied��
