In order to study the influence of LNAPL contamination and water content to dielectric constant of quartz sand��the authors use quartz sand to simulate an environment of homogeneous types of soil��and use the mix- ture of diesel and water to simulate the LNAPL contamination to pollute soil�� Then the vector network analyzer and the open- ended coaxial probe have been used to analyze the reflection of the high frequency ultra wideband electro-magnetic wave in the soil to count a dielectric constant�� The experiment result indicates that the dielectric constant of quartz sand holds increases as increasing of volumetric water content and volumetric oil content��which is until to their saturated�� In this case��the dielectric constant of quartz sand is tending to be stabe�� The measured value of quartz sand distributes between Polarized model and DeLoor model��and closer to the latter��
