Abstract:

The magnetic prospecting method with high resolution and precision is used in accurately locating the boundary of the lean iron deposit with its surrounding rocks The authors processed the abnormal magnetic data and used analytic signal and horizontal derivative method in the iron deposit of Liangcheng area as an example A super lean iron ore was found in the working area which was 60 100 m wide by 30 60 m deepwith 12% 19% (TFe) in grade The horizontal width of the ore Taking a section from the contour map and using these two meth- odsthe authors calculated 81 m and 83 m in horizonal widthwhich matches the results of the forward (86 m) and inversion models (75 m) A higher horizontal resolution was acquiredand the boundary was delineated accu- rately in the resultswhich provided a new way to explore the lean magnetite deposit in same type
