Regularization method of inverse Q filtering based on wave field continuation

Abstract:

Inverse Q filtering based on wave field downward continuation is an useful method for the compensation of stratigraphic absorption��but the instability of amplitude compensation restricts the application of this method in medium-and deep-seated stratum seismic data�� We propose the regularization method of inverse Q filtering based on wave field continuation�� This method can not only solve the instability of seismic wave energy compensation�� but also availably compensate the deep-seated stratum seismic waves which cross the strata with the lower quality factors�� The results of model tests and practical applications indicate that the regularization method of inverse Q filtering based on wave field continuation has a better ability to overcome the noise and to compensate deepseated stratum seismic wave amplitude comparing with the common inverse Q filtering methods��and also can improve the resolution on medium-and deep-seated stratum seismic data��
