Abstract:

We collected crust samples by Ocean Ship No. 1��and tested those samples which were from the middle of Pacific CL��CM2 ��CM3 ��CX��CQ��CA and CB seamounts�� The contents of the main ore-forming elements Mn��Fe��Co��Ni and Cu are different from crusts of seamounts in the middle of Pacific��such as Magellan Seamounts�� Marshall Islands��Hawaiian Islands and Line Islands�� This is mainly related to the material source of the seamount crusts��the environment of crusts formation and the age of crust formation�� The main reason of the differences in principal component of the various morphological type crusts��may be the distinctions in growing mechanism and forming environment��
