Abstract:

Using the interpretation of seismic profiles and structural mapping��the authors analyzed the deformation characteristics of salt structures in Kungurian of Lower Permian in the middle segment of eastern edge of Precaspian Basin��The results showed the deformation of Kungurian salt-bearing layer was very intensive��and salt diapirs��salt pillows��salt rollers��salt welds��salt-withdrwal minibasins and turtle structures developed well��The scales of different salt structures varied greatly and the uplifting amplitudes increased gradually from east to west with obvious zonations in plane view��The salt tectonism generated important influence on the deformation of periph- eral strata��which was created wedge folded sequences and numerous faults between intrasalt and suprasalt strata�� The intensive salt tectonism mainly happened in Late Permian and Triassic��which was effected by the Ural orogeny.
