Abstract:

The geological G4 I system is a computer system targeted on medium or large scale mineral resource evaluation based on data integration of four disciplines ( geology��geography��geochemistry and geophysics) �� Interdisciplinary geological spatial data integration involves many techniques��in which the content and application of spatial metadata form the important part of the system�� The authors discuss the concept of metadata and the specific content��role��standards and current status of the research in this system��and propose the design framework of metadata management subsystem for the system��
