Abstract:

The Late Paleozoic marine strata in northeastern China are distributed in zonal pattern and surrounding the Jiamusi--Mongolia block The unsteady sedimentation such as well-developed lithic feldspar sandstone transverse lithological variationunstable lithofacies and development of volcanic rocksindicated these strata belonging to active sediment From the core to the marginal suture belt of the Jiamusi --Mongolia blockobvious lithofacies change of old land --para --epicontinental sea --continental shelf sea --abyssal sea can be seen The authors suggested that the Late Paleozoic marine strata might belong to continental marginal deposits of Jiamusi --Mongolia block in northeastern Chinabased on the zonal distributionsactive depositionand regular distribution of the tectonic lithological zones
