Abstract:

Through the axial compression test on 19 high-strength concrete column swrapped with carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) , the influence of section shape and different confinement content on the strength and ductility of wrapped high-strength concrete column has been studied. The experimental results indicate that the bearing capacity of circular specimens wrapped with 1��3 CFRP cloths was increased 11% , 21% and 42% compared with the circular specimenswithout CFRP, and vertical deformation was increased 23% , 271% and 330%, respectively. The calculation model of strength and ultimate strain of high-strength concrete wrapped with CFRP is made based on this results.
