The establishment of industrial index in polymetallic deposit is not suitable to adopt single method according to the various characteristics of the index. The total value ofmetal comprehensive recoverymust be considered to establish industrial index and to calculate other grade indexes. The authors take an oversize copper-mo- lybdenum deposit in North China for example, present the establishing process of the cutoff grade in polymetallic deposit, the lowest industrial grade in block section, the lowest average grade in mining area, the minimal mineable thickness and rejecting thickness of dunn bass, and point that the industrial index is a dynamic standard along with the movement of internal conditions and external circumstances in corporations, and the original industrial index can be repaired and optimized. Geological statistics should be emphasized and popularized in accounting reserves, and dynamic management should be imp lemented in reserves and industrial index according to the changes ofmarket.
