Abstract:

Based on the assemblage characteristics of metamorphic rocks and their stacking relations in the stratigraphic sequence, Paleoproterozoic Jipan Group in southern Jilin can be divided into Mayihe, Huangchagou and Dadongcha formations in descending order, deposited ranging from 2 350 to 2 150 Ma in age, which underwent high amphibolite faciesmetamorphism of low-pressure facies and invaded by late granites at 2 160 Ma. The Laoling Group can be divided into Dataishan /Linjiagou, Zhenzhumen, Huashun, Linjiang and Dalizi formations in descending order, ranging from 1 900 to 1 800 Ma in age, which underwent low amphibolite faciesmetamorphism of mid-pressure facies. The Jipan Group underlies the Laoling Group. The primary rock formation of the Jipan Group is a combination of continental tholeiite-evaporite-( calcareous) graywacke-flysch and belongs to rift environment sedimentation, and the primary rock formation of the Laoling Group is quartz sandstone-dolomite-shale and belongs to intra-continental depression sedimentation.
